International Services Committee

These volunteer groups include YMCA members, local community leaders and YMCA staff. Committee initiatives include:

• teen programs
  • YMCA Youth Ambassadors Abroad
  • Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA)
  • YMCA International Camp Counselor Program (ICCP)
• presenting information on YMCA international programs to community agencies and organizations
• providing support for local immigrant and refugee programs
• creating a YMCA Aquatics Academy in India
• developing YMCA Safe Place Services abroad
• facilitating a job skills training/peace and reconciliation program with youth from Ireland and Northern Ireland
• participating in international YMCA conferences and programs around the globe
