SMOKING CESSATION COURSE
The Cooper/Clayton Method is a safe and effective way to help people stay smoke-free for the rest of their lives. This method is a comprehensive behavioral smoking cessation program. It was developed by two faculty members at the University of Kentucky; Thomas Cooper, DDS, a dentist and former heavy smoker, developed the program with Richard Clayton, PhD, an expert on drug addiction.This highly successful program is science based utilizing proven methods, which include education, skills training and local support. The classes consist of 12 one hour weekly session followed by relapse program. Participants utilize nicotine patch, nicotine gum or nicotine lozenge.
